Since its establishment in 1996, EOA / Elmslie Osler Architects, P.C. has developed a reputation for creative and elegant solutions to design problems. The founding principal, Robin Elmslie Osler, is a graduate of Yale School of Architecture and a fellow of the American Association of University Women. Raised in an architecturally prolific environment, Osler’s background gives her a unique perspective on the profession and practice of architecture.

Osler has made EOA an award winning and internationally recognized firm that believes in serving its clients with integrity and innovation. Work includes both residential and commercial projects such as houses, apartment and townhouse renovations, retail, showrooms, galleries and non-profit organizations. The work is distinguished by an attention to detail, light, and spatial integrity. It is distinctive in character, rigorous in its approach. The firm works thoughtfully through each project, responding to site conditions, budget, and clients' desires.

An interest in process encourages research into materials, attentiveness to the client and an integration of their needs and aspirations. Sustainability is considered at each phase of the design process. Inspiration is generated from a variety of sources, many times from outside the field of architecture, acknowledging that our environments and imaginations are enriched by many influences. The approach is one of an exploration of ideas, materials, light and spatial clarity balanced by a discipline of elements, producing work that has consistently produced an architecture of intelligence and sophistication.

EOA ultimately believes in the power of architecture to positively impact people’s lives. Rather than considering this an outmoded concept of the modernist era, EOA strives to bring the spirit of that power into the work.
