VIA is a travel store concept. The design of the store embraces motion along an undulating landscape - a topography that folds and unfolds, gathers and creases, pleats and expands. This topography clings to all surfaces in the space. In some cases the landscape peels up and rotates around itself to create a coil for display. In other areas tracks are laid to carry different types of cargo. There are moments of forced and manipulated perspective that can be created by the visitor, inviting them to interact with the store. For instance, pinhole cameras and walls with lenses are located strategically throughout the space allowing the sightseer to look through and be transported. These lenses also become didactic devices that teach the visitor about space, perspective and time.
