Originally from the Midwest, the clients purchased a traditional builders home in East Hampton for weekend getaways. Principal Robin Osler’s father, architect David Osler, had designed two houses for the family in Michigan and Ohio. They contacted Robin wanting to keep the family architectural vision in place. The renovation focused on creating an open modern home with careful consideration given to the display of their collection of hand turned wooden and ceramic bowls. EOA removed the original columned exterior portico and reshaped the double-height interior hall.. A new kitchen, study, laundry, master suite and stair to the second level, transformed the house into a unique home.
